Bad Education ; review

Alright so... I have finally watched Bad Education. I've wanted to watch it for ages but never did (I always forgot it was on...whoops) but I went out with my last lot of pocket money (because I have a job now) and bought the box set. I think that's my last lot of pocket money well spent... My mum doesn't think so but you know.

How did I decide to what it, I hear you ask. Well, I saw it was on Netflix and added it to my list. My friend then came round for my birthday and we watched Jack Whitehall Gets Around I have never laughed so much. (You should watch it, it's great, plus it's on Netflix)
So that was when I realised my love for Jack Whitehall and a month later I have finished watching Bad Education

Before i go into detail about the seasons and the movie, I would like to share with you my favourite joke that Jack Whitehall has told. He did tell it on Jack Whitehall Gets Around but I hadn't watched it before. I saw this clip on Instagram and it was on a Jennifer Lawerance fan account, as she was on The Graham Norton Show with James McAvoy and Jack Whitehall.
At the time I was a little obsessed with James McAvoy (still am really) because the new X-Men film was due to come out, so I was watching X-Men First Class and scrolling through #JamesMcAvoy on Instagram. (I am not ashamed of this! I am proud to be a fangirl!) A clip came up with Jack Whitehall on, so I un-muted it and replayed it... I have NEVER laughed so much in my life. I was actually crying with laughter because it just kept replaying it, as Instagram does.

Here's the video; please don't die with laughter!

Season 1 ; I feel like this season was the tester. I know that it obviously was. I think it was being careful as to what sort of jokes would sit well with the audience. It was shown on BBC Three at 10pm, so this would be be perhaps 15-40 age range. However not many teens would watch BBC Three. I feel like they were seeing what age range it would attract. Fans of Jack Whitehall would obviously watch it and he has a wide range of fans, but none below 15yrs I would say. Also fans of Mathew Horne, who plays Mr Fraser, might watch it. (My mum likes him, he's also from Gavin and Stacy).
The first episode of this season, Parents Evening, broke BBC Three's comedy record.
All in all I did laugh at this season and I felt it enjoyable but after watching the others I realised that it wasn't as funny as the others. Which takes me on to season 2.

Season  2 ; For me this season is the best. I really love this season. I'm not sure what it is about this season but I enjoyed it a lot more. I feel like I know the characters a lot better and I can guess what they might do, which makes it even funnier. My favourite episode has to be Swimming Gala. This is the first episode in this season and it has really stuck in my head. There are moments when I think about these episodes and end up laughing for about 10 minutes. I really miss Pickwell in the rest of the season as I really like Michelle Gomez, she really makes me laugh.
This season is my favourite. It made me laugh a lot more.

Season 3 ; This was a very sad season. I knew that this was the last season and I knew that the class would be leaving at the end of the Season. I have to admit I did enjoy this season too. I didn't like it when Mitchell left and Rem Dogg changed. I missed the 'banter' between Alfie, Mitchell and Rem Dogg, like they had in the first two seasons. However this does show how much people can change. I loved the relationship between Alfie and Grayson by the end and how they became stepbrothers. Once again I missed Pickwell and the 'banter' her and Alfie had.
When I watched The Prom which was the last episode, I surprised myself when I cried. I wasn't sure why but it was emotional, I mean even Alfie cried! That was a sad episode and I loved how much Alfie loved his kids. I loved how he didn't want to go through it again so he left but then came back thanks to Miss Gulliver.

The Movie ; I have to admit I didn't like it as much as the TV show. But I still enjoyed the sillyness of Alfie Wickers and his kids. It was like a whole season squished into one. I do have to wonder why they made the film but I am glad they did as we get to see Mitchell and Rem Dogg as their normal selves. I also like how it focused on Alfie and Joe's friendship. I liked how we get to see Joe's mum save the day after being horrible to Alfie throughout the whole film.
It was a nice, happy way to tie it all off.

Favourite Episode ; My favourite episode would have to be Sex Education Swimming Gala , The American , Sports Day and The Exam

Favourite Student ; I like all of them, Mitchell reminds me of some boys who used to be in my class and I loved the 'banter' between him and Rem Dogg. I liked Joe was always the honest and innocent one, he reminds me of someone who used to be in my classes at school, (his name was also joe). I adore Chantelle and Stephen's friendship. I liked how Chantelle always flirted with Alfie and he was so quick with saying no to her in different ways each time, I liked at the end of season 3 we discovered why she acted like that and it was very cute. When Stephen and Cleopatra have a little fight is one of the best things. I just love Stephan's attitude.

Favourite Teacher ; Obviously Alfie Wickers is the best teacher! Everyone wants a teacher like him, I liked how he made a class of all different backgrounds become friends, even with Grayson. I liked the idea of class wars, that would be a really fun way to teach. Like I said everyone wants a teacher like Alfie Wickers. I don't think you'd ever want to miss one of his classes, I know I wouldn't.
I also liked Pickwell. I liked Michelle Gomez in Doctor Who when she played Missy and I think she's a great actress, she could say the most boring sentence as Pickwell and I would still laugh.
Besides from Alfie I think my favourite teacher has to be Mr Fraser. Who doesn't want a head teacher like that? I love how he's trying to act the same age as the students but he's at least twice there age. I like how Alfie points out certain things what Fraser does and says. I also like Mathew Horne so...

To conclude I really did love watching Bad Education and I'm even thinking about watching it again!
